Abstract
Background: Doxorubicin (DOX) is an extensively utilised chemotherapy drug,
newlineoxidative stress caused by it can damage the heart, liver, and kidneys. Theobroma
newlinecacao L. (cocoa) is reported to possess protective efficacy against several chemical-
newlineinduced organ damages and also anticancer activity. The present study aimed to
newlineevaluate the effect of cocoa extract (COE) on doxorubicin-induced organ damage in
newlinemice with Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) by employing in silico, in vitro, and in
newlinevivo studies.
newlineObjective:
newline1. To assess protective activity of cocoa against Doxorubicin induced organ
newlinetoxicities (Heart, Liver and Kidney) in a mouse bearing ascites and solid tumor
newline2. To assess Cytotoxic activity of Doxorubicin in combination with cocoa in a
newlinemouse bearing ascites and solid tumor
