Synthesis of Natural Fragrance Pheromone and Bioactive Compounds

Abstract

The thesis entitled Synthesis of Natural Fragrance, Pheromone and Bioactive Compounds is divided into four different chapters. The present thesis comprises the concise and enantioselective approaches towards asymmetric syntheses of (-)-trans-aerangis lactone, (S)-ethyl 4-methyloctanoate and (-)-clavaminol A and deacetyl (+)-clavaminol H. The key steps involved for asymmetric synthesis are Sharpless Asymmetric Dihydroxylation (AD)and organocatalyzed aldol reactions. newline
