dc.description.abstractArt is an expression of all characteristics of the human mind aesthetically. Performing arts are those types of art in which artists convey artistic expression by use their bodies, voices, often in relation to other objects whereas Resilience does not mean to eliminate stress or challenges but it gives psychological strength to manage the problems. It makes the person to accept and adapt the situation and move ahead. The study was conducted to assess the Resilience among performing arts students. A sample of 600 performing arts students (200 theatres, 200 dances and 200 music) of Amritsar and Chandigarh cities was taken for the study. A self constructed tool of resilience by the researcher was used to collect the data. Result concluded with no significant difference found on the all the dimensions and total scores of Resilience between Theatre and Music performing arts students. No significant difference found on the all the dimensions and total scores of Resilience between Theatre and Dance performing arts students. Significant difference found on the Personal Competence, Self Regulation, Flexibility and Adaptable (dimensions of Resilience) and total scores of Resilience between male and female performing arts students. On Social Competence and Supportive believe structure of Resilience have found no significant gender difference. Significant difference found on the Social Competence, Self Regulation and Supportive believe structure (dimensions of Resilience) and total scores of Resilience between Amritsar and Chandigarh s performing arts students. On Personal Competence, Flexibility and Adaptable of Resilience have found no significant locale difference. Further 6 case studies were conducted (high resilience in theatre, music, and dance) and (low resilience in theatre, music, and dance) and analyzed the factors which are more responsible for high and low resilience. Educational implications and suggestions for further research are suggested. newline
