Marketing Strategies and Tourists Satisfaction in Himachal Pradesh

Abstract

In the study an attempts has been made to find and develop suitable marketing strategies for the enhancement of tourism in the state. However, this purpose have been found with the classification of nationality, gender, age, marital status, duration of stay, estimated budget, mode of transportation, purpose of visit and frequency of visit. Also. In the concerned study, efforts have been made to show the relationship of variable with advertisement strategies. Marketing not only calls for a developing good product, pricing it attracts and making accessible to target tourists and also communicate through different means. Advertisement promotional strategy is most common and highly use for promotion of tourism. There are short term incentives to encourage purchase or sale of product of service. Thus, exhibition, demonstration, special event festivals, rural tourism, adventure tourists destination encourage more tourists to visit in Himachal Pradesh. In order to promote tourism activity in the Himachal Pradesh DOT (department of tourism) and civil aviation in ten collaboration with horticulture department. Himachal Pradesh tourism had organized Himachal Apple festivals at ridge Shimla in September 2014.The study has been found that pricing strategies help to call the visitors in the state with the help of demographical attribute. The research study has also confined the tourism expansion strategies with the help of local fair and festivals tourists information centre, exploration of culture and tradition, theme park and exhibition. Tourist s satisfaction refers to the state of mind after exposure and experience from the destination. newlineMoreover, it is post purchase behaviour of tourists which is outcome of visitors need, wants and expectation throughout the tour. Tourist s satisfaction has motivation power to revisit and recommendation to their friends. Hence tourist s satisfaction increases the inflow level of tourists which enhance the revenue of government and local business. It also shows that visitors look for better service, more entertainment, culture facility and heritage facility which attracts them to revisit again to certain destinations. Tourist s satisfaction also depends upon the experience of tourists which refers to personal opinion through visit of particular destination. Tourists experience is gained through pleasant and enjoyable experience. Experience of visitors range with participation in the organized tour whereas active participation is taking part in sightseeing tour, heritage, acquiring new knowledge about culture and heritage. newline newline
