| dc.description.abstract | The thesis entitled SYNTHESIS OF 2H-CHROMENE BASED FIVE-MEMBERED N-HETEROCYCLES AND THEIR ANTIBACTERIAL ASSESSMENT has been divided into three chapters and each chapter subdivided into the following sections: introduction, literature reviews, present work, antibacterial studies, experimental, spectral data, and references. Chapter I describes the synthesis, antibacterial evaluation, and molecular docking investigation of (4S)-4-C-spiro-glycosyl-chromeno-[3,4-d][1,2,3]triazoles. Chapter II describes the one-pot multicomponent synthesis of 4-((2H-chromen-3-yl)/(2-phenyl-2H-chromen-3-yl)methylene)-3-methylisoxazol-5(4H)-ones and evaluation of their antibacterial activity. Chapter III describes the regioselective 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of NaN3 to 2H-chromene-3-carbonitriles for the synthesis of 2,4-dihydrochromeno[3,4-d][1,2,3]triazoles and 5-(2H-chromen-3-yl)-1H-tetrazoles and evaluation of their antibacterial properties. newline | |
