Antiangiogenic therapy for treatment of cancer effect of 2 methoxyestradiol in combination with cyclophosphamide on experimental tumour growth in mouse

Abstract

Cancer is a complex, multistage genetic disease, in which a group of normal cells transform into a metastatic, malignant cell. Great majority of primary tumours are benign that are harmless to the host. Most of the cancer related deaths are caused due to metastatic property. During metastasis cancer cells detach from the primary site and migrate to the different organs of the body via the blood stream. The new tumour in the distant target organ is known as secondary tumour or metastatic tumour (Ruoslahti 1996). newline
