Abstract

Epidemiology is the study of the distribution of a disease in the population and newlineof factors that influence the occurrences of the disease. Epidemiology examines newlineepidemic (excess) and endemic (always present) diseases; it is based on the obser- newlinevation that most diseases do not occur randomly, but are related to environmental newlineand personal characteristics that vary by place, time and subgroup of the pop- newlineulation. The main objective in any such study is to examine the causes for the newlinedevelopment of a disease so that the appropriate remedial measures and/or the newlinetreatments can be suggested accordingly. newline
