Abstract
Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a prominent field within Operations
newlineResearch, extensively utilized in decision-making scenarios involving difficult and
newlineconflicting goals. This methodology can be applied across various domains, including
newlineagriculture. For further development, we are implementing MCDM methods in the
newlineagricultural sector to improve land utilization, increase production, and reduce the
newlinecosts of available resources. In this research, we employ various MCDM methods to
newlineexplore solutions that best address the decision-makers challenges. MCDM is
newlinerecognized for its ability to generate solutions that simultaneously address multiple
newlineobjectives, ensuring balanced consideration of all relevant issues. Given the critical
newlinerole of agriculture in India s economy and the diverse sectors it encompasses such as
newlinefishery, horticulture, forestry, and sericulture there is a need to optimize agricultural
newlineresources to meet the demands of a rapidly growing population. This study proposes
newlinethe application of MCDM to develop a comprehensive model that can effectively
newlineaddress the multifaceted challenges faced by the agricultural sector. By integrating
newlinevarious agricultural sub sectors and their unique requirements, the MCDM model
newlineaims to provide optimal solutions that enhance resource allocation, maximize
newlineproductivity, and ensure sustainability. The implementation of this model is expected
newlineto significantly contribute to fulfilling the agricultural needs of the population, thereby
newlinesupporting the overall economic growth and stability of the country.
