Abstract
The thesis explores the design and synthesis of azo-uracil derivatives and their copper(II) complexes. Their potential applications in the field of magnetism and biology have been investigated. The prime focus of Chapter 1 is to partial review on the uracil derivatives and copper(II) complexes. Copper(II) complexes of the derivatives of 1,3-dimethyl-6-aminouracils and their interesting properties and applications have also been reviewed.
