dc.description.abstractIn the era of globalisation, B.P.O. industry is considered as Boom industry. Young generation is fetched in the B.P.O. sector due to highly paid jobs and entry in this sector is very easy as compared to other sectors. But unusual work nature in this profession has hazardous effects on B.P.O. employees heaith. This research study aims to explore these effects in Ayurvedic perspective. newlineTotal 210 B.P.O. employees were enrolled randomly for present study, in which 105 were having Day duty and 105 were having Mix duty (Day and Night mix duty). Survey study was done using Questionnaire, C.R.F. and by using interview technique. Statistical analysis of the data obtained by survey was done by using SPSS software. The observations and results were presented by using frequency tables, pie diagrams, bar diagrams. Association between the Hetu and Lakshana was determined by Chi square test. Wilcoxon sign rank test was applied for comparison between day shift and Mix shift B.P.O. employees. Comprehensive discussion carried out to postulate probable association (pathogenesis) of cause (Hetu) and effect (Lakshan/Vyadhi) .Arrived to final conclusion with the help of observations, results, and brain storming discussion. newlineConclusion the present study revealed that B.P.O. workers or call center workers fall victim to different types of Hetu Sevan, due to their profession. Predominant Hetu revealed as professional hazards are Viharaj Hetu (Activity related Hetu) followed by Manas Hetu (Mind related Hetu) followed by Aaharaj Hetu (food related Hetu) and Vyasan Hetu (Addiction related Hetu). Due to Hetu Sevan there are Hazardous effects on sharira i.e. on Dosha, Dhatu, Strotas, Mala, Agni, Dnyanendriya and Karmendriya as well as on Man. Vat Dushti is found predominantly followed by Kapha followed by Pitta Dushti . Predominantly revealed Agnidushti is Mandagni.Dushti of Asthi, Rasa, Mansa, Majja, Meda, Dhatu is revealed respectively.
