Study of response of metabolic and inflammatory markers to ant tubercular treatment in pulmonary tuberculosis among diabetic and non diabetic patients

Abstract

This study was conducted in the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Budhera, Gurugram and District Tuberculosis Centre, Gurugram, Haryana, India. In this study 114 pulmonary tuberculosis patients were included.Among them 100 patients were compared and correlated for anthropometric parametersbody mass index (BMI), adiponectin, leptin, ratio of adiponectin/ leptin, hsCRP, INF-and#947;, calcium, phosphorus, diabetic profileand lipid profile in pre and post anti-tubercular treatment.
