Multicomponent reactions (MCR) have been widely studied because of their ability to form multiple bonds and heterocyclic ring structures. However, the modification in the form of organic nanoparticles boots its practical utility. Metal nanoparticles are the classes which introduces the enhanced selectivity and sensitivity to the structure. Considering these properties of MCR and metal nanoparticles, Biginelli and 4H-Chromene based multicomponent receptors have been synthesized. These receptors were fabricated in two forms: organic nanoparticles and carbon dots and incorporated with the metal nanoparticles to form material. Six different metals (Au3+, Ag+, Sn2+, Pb2+, Ni2+ and Al3+) were used for the modification based on the selectivity of organic nanoparticles and carbon dots. The synthesized material was then evaluated for their properties in the field of detection of biomolecules. Among the various classes of biomolecules, thymidine analogs and steroids are such class which is required and synthesized by our body and have been widely used for the cellular level detection. However, their concentration above threshold level is concerning as it can leads to life threatening effects. In our work, we have detected 8 different thymidine analogs (azidothymidine, bromodeoxyuridine, ethynyldeoxyuridine and, ganciclovir) and steroids (cholesterol, insulin, estriol and estradiol) by using the metal nanoparticles modified multicomponent receptors and the practical utility of the materials were also evaluated in the human serum and pharmaceutical tablets. newline
