Abstract
The present study has been divided into two parts The first part aimed to determine the epidemiology of gastrointestinal nematodes in young cattle calves of some districts of Kashmir valley The second part deals with certain alterations in haematological and biochemical profile of the infected calves To accomplish this study a lot of literature support was required which
newlinewas collected either as electronic form or as printed form A review of the literature however indicated that a considerable work has been done on the helminths of cattle through out the world but Kashmir needs a lot more research in this aspect In this study investigative efforts have been focussed on the Epidemiology and haemato biochemicaI studies of nematode infection in calves This study will be fruitful as it will give information regarding nematode parasites of cattle as well as update the previous findings on the prevailing of nematode parasites of calves This study will also form the base for the future investigators those investigating the diseases of cattle In the second part of the study the haematological and biochemical
newlineparameters of the nematode infected and non infected animals were studied Twenty number of control calves selected from Manasbal farm Baramulla were compared with twenty calves naturally infected with gastrointestinal nematodes
