Abstract
Organic compounds including heterocyclic compounds occur widely in nature and are essential to life. The formations of carbon-carbon and carbon-hetero atom bonds are among the most important concerns in modern organic chemistry. This type of bond formation leads to the generation of hetero cyclic compounds having pharmacological and bioactive structural motifs. They exhibits many biological and medicinal applications such as warfarine (oral coagulant), reglitazar (diabetes drug) and tipranavir (HIV protease inhibitor), Mapacrine (Antimalerial drug), Nitracrine (Antitumer drug), Zebotentan (anticancer agents), antitubercular, antitumor, anti-HIV, antibacterial, antifungal, anesthetic, nematicidal, CNS stimulant, analeptics, analgesic, hypnotics, angina pectoris, hypertension, calcium channel blockers and pesticides, insecticides and also weed killers. Thus, the expansion of new protocols for the efficient and green preparation methods of these compounds, by using new synthetic methodologies is higly desirable. For this purpose there is necessity to develop cheap, recyclable, high yield and efficient catalysts to overcome problems like long reaction time, low selectivity, strong acidic conditions and low yields etc. in drug synthesis. In this present study, we have been focoused on the development of new synthetic methodologies for the synthesis of several hetero cyclic compoundss and also design, synthesis and biological evoluation of new drug molecules.
