For the last few years, the universal industrial needs have been shifted newlinefrom monolithic alloy to composite materials to meet the customers satisfaction. newlineComposite materials are engineered materials that made from two or more newlineconstituents material with considerably different physical and chemical newlineproperties. In this work concentrate Metal Matrix Composites due to their vast newlineusage of engineering industry. Metal Matrix Composites (MMC) hold newlineconsiderably enhanced mechanical properties with huge sort of applications newlinefrom automotive to aerospace. These composite materials slowly but surely newlinereplace the conventional materials due to their properties of light weight, high newlinespecific stiffness, high elastic modulus, outstanding corrosion resistance, newlineimproved specific strength, specific modulus, damping capacity and good wear newlineresistance compared to unreinforced alloys. Generally, aluminium material has newlinebeen playing a primary role as element of matrix in the composites due to its newlineexceptional properties like higher ductility, lower density and highest strength to newlineweight ratio. For aluminium matrix composite, varieties of techniques are newlineemployed for the development of particulate reinforced aluminium matrix newlinecomposites. Stir casting process is adopted due to its own reward like easy newlinemanufacturing, low manufacturing cost and uniform distribution of reinforced newlineparticles. In this investigation, aluminium (A6061) alloy Titanium carbide newline(TiC) / Zirconium oxide (ZrO2) composites are fabricated as a novel newlinecombination by using stir casting method. The reinforcing particles such as newlineTitanium carbide and Zirconium oxide play a pertinent role on the engineering newlinematerial properties. Therefore, A6061 aluminum base metal matrix composites newlineare made-up by means of different weight percentage of Titanium carbide / newlineZirconium oxide particles. newline newline
