Abstract

This study investigated the effects of the session of psycho-yogic package on the level of neurosis and locus of control. Neurosis is a mild state of mental illness that is not caused by organic disease, involving symptom of stress, depression, anxiety, etc. An optimum amount of stress can always act as an energizer or motivator or people to apply the effort and complete the work, but a high level of stress can be a serious threat to the personality traits of the individual and cause physiological and physiological problem. In personality psychology, locus of control is the degree to which people believe that they have control over the outcome of events in their lives, as opposed to external forces beyond their control. The sample consists of 200 subjects in the study from Haridwar, Dehradun, Uttrakhand. The NMS neurosis measurement scale was used to measure level of neurosis. The Rotters Locus of control scale (Hindi adaptation) was used to measure level of locus of control. Directional hypotheses (four related with neuroses and four related with locus of control) were formulated and measured during the research work. After collecting pre data and applying intervention, post data was collected. ANOVA (one way) statistical method was used for the analysis of the data. All directional hypotheses have been significantly confirmed on the level .01 level of significance. After the statistical analysis the result shows that the psycho-yogic package significantly reduces the level of neurosis and significantly shifts in the dimension of locus of control which improves mental health. newline
