Abstract
In Dashavidh pariksha of rugna, praman sharir has importance for the measurement and scholar has focused on this topic in his research project. Pramana has classified in Anguli and Anjali Pramana.Anguli Praman is used for the measurement of dimensions such as Ayam (height), Vistara (arm span), utseda etc. of different parts of human body.
newlineIn Vimansthan of Charak samhita it is mentioned that ayam and vistara of an individual is equal to the balanced longevity of that individual in life i.e. Ayu (longevity of life), bala (Sharirik and Mansik bala), Oja, Sukham (Happiness), Aishwaryam (Wealth) and Vitta. Where as variations in the ayam and vistara affects the all above criteria. In this project scholar has taken efforts to evaluate thesama ayam and vistara in Sthula and Krusha individuals. Sthula and Krushais included in Astounindita Purush. For this study total 100 individuals of either sex were selected of the age group 25-50 yrs. The individuals were taken randomly. The Swanguli Praman was calculated by vernier caliper and Ayam and Vistara of an individual were measured by measuring tape in cm and converted into Anguli-praman, weight was calculated with the help of weighing machinethe results by statistical analysis states that the Sthula is common in female individuals. And there is no association between the sama sharir and sthoulya and Krusha.
