newline Gender diversity is one of those aspects related to the corporate world which tends to differentiate employees based on race caste, religion, age, gender, nationality, political views, and many more factors. There are many repercussions of issues related to gender diversity which the organization and the employees must face for a long term. Some of the common issues which employees face due to gender diversity in any organization are pay gap, lack of promotion opportunities, inequality in training and development, finding it hard to prove that capability at work, no work-life- balance, glass ceiling, workplace-based harassment, age based her husband, negative attitudes of colleagues, low-representation in the organization, and many more newlineGender diversity related issues have a direct or indirect effect on productivity, financial soundness, market image, competitive spirit, and other factors related to the workplace. When the organization, and management tend to work for managing these issues arising due to gender diversity, they work towards structuring such policies, norms, practices, and rules which would foster gender-based harmony at all levels of the organization. newlineGender diversity has been very much present in all types of sectors and organizations at the global level in different forms and therefore, efforts have been put in from various governments and supervising bodies to ensure gender equality in organizations. Gender diversity has gone through some twists and turns after the pandemic era, changes like better work-life-balance for female employees, work from home option could be seen in various organizations around the world; these changes, to some extent acted as a catalyst for improving the percentage of women in the workforce. newlineThe study is being conducted to better understand the gender diversity issues at leadership positions in the private sector organizations of the Bhopal region.
