Abstract
Effective training is considered as an important factor in determining the efficiency of an organization which depends upon the capability of its employees. Training is essential to the growth and economic well-being of a nation. This need for training pervades all levels of industry, for a national level where a country s well-being in enhanced by training, to each company where productivity is improved, down to the individual whose skills are enhanced and as a result improve their position in the workplace.

newlineThe chapter two makes an attempt to highlight research methodology, the various dimensions of research approach, sampling plan, area of study, data collection method, statistical tools.

newlineThe chapter four tries to describe and explore the various important aspects needed for the formation of the training effectiveness program, and also discuss the theoretical concept of training model, training method, types of training. Different types of training provided by NTPCand PGCIL, and also explain the human resource management in NTPCand PGCIL.
