Efficiency Enhancement of Manufacturing Industries Through the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

Abstract

This research revolves around the impact of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies newlinein Indian Manufacturing industries. Statistics inculcates a number of industries newlinesubsists, which are using different forms of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies. newlineThe study is focused on the analysis of different AMT practices, sources of newlineinformation support, perceived benefits of the implementation and the forms of AMT newlineimplemented by Indian manufacturing industries. The data have been collected from newlinefour sectors of manufacturing industries. The majority of respondents are from newlineautomobile sectors, followed by process sectors, electrical and electronics sectors and newlineindustrial machinery and equipment sectors. Respondents were requested to choose a newlineresponse on five point likert scale; anchored at one end with least importantand#8223; meriting newlinea score 1 and the other by most importantand#8223; meriting a score of 5. First of all to find newlineout the correlation for each variable which are involved in manufacturing industries, newlinethen further test their need to be carried out on factors generated to see whether they newlineare normally distributed in order to make meaningful inferences. After which the newlinehypotheses testing have been performed by testing the level of conformity between newlinethe variables. Some case studies have been taken from manufacturing industries and newlineafter implementation of advanced manufacturing technology performance have been investigated. newline
