To assess the level of anxiety among patient with heart disease. 2. To assess the quality of life among patient with heart disease. 3. To evaluate the effectiveness of meditation in terms of anxiety and quality of life among patient with heart disease. 4. To determine the association between pretest level of anxiety, quality of life of patients and selected demographic variables. 5. To find out the relationship between anxiety and quality of life among patients with heart disease. HYPOTHESES and#9679; Hypotheses is a formal statement of the expected relationship between two or more Variables in a specified population. and#9679; There is a significant difference between pre and posttest level of anxiety, quality of life among patients with heart disease in experimental group. and#9679; There is a significant difference between posttest level of anxiety, quality of life among patients with heart disease between the experiential and control group. and#9679; There is a significant association between pretest anxiety, quality of life among patients with heart disease and selected demographic variables in experimental and control group. and#9679; There is a significant relationship between pretest level of anxiety and quality of life among patients with heart disease in the experimental, control group. CONCEPTUAL WORK The Conceptual Framework for the present study was based on Ida Jean Orlando s professional response theory which focus on client s immediate need and determining if the needs were achieved with nursing action (Schmieding, 1998). The present study was focused to find out the effectiveness of meditation in improving quality of life and decreased anxiety among patients with cardiac diseases.
