Experimental investigation on cnc turning operation of aisi ss304 under emulsifier oil based lubricants using different nanoparticles

Abstract

Industrial products manufactured by the metal removal process newlinefocus on higher order form measurements to accommodate better surface newlinequality. Steel grade AISI SS304 material s turning operation for newlineengineering, is an essential metal removal process to meet the requirements newlineon surface quality, with optimal type cutting fluids to maintain tool life and newlinesurface finish. SAE-30 Emulsifier oil is applied to cool and lubricate between newlinethe tool and workpiece while machining stainless steel grade material in CNC newlineturning operations. Even though the hardest materials like carbide, cemented newlinecarbide, and titanium nitride coating tools, industrial standard lubes, optimal newlinemachining parameters are used to remove material from stainless steel, newlinemachinists face difficulties in obtaining quality on machined surface and newlinecutting tool s life. Nano materials-based cutting fluids in CNC turning newlineoperation are preferred to enhance the lubricating function, effective heat newlinedissipation in the heat-affected zone, and work-tool interface for obtaining newlinerequired quality and improved tool life in the current research. The selected newlinenanoparticles concerning physical and chemical properties required for newlinecutting fluid such as Copper oxide, Titanium dioxide, Zinc-oxide, and newlineGraphene, are blended with the emulsifier base fluid individually with two newlinedifferent weight percentages as 1.5%, and 2.25%. newline
