dc.description.abstract	It is strongly felt that caste has always remained as the backdrop of the action in the Marathi literature in both print and media (cinema and TV). It has reflected and borne the changes taking place around. It has always occupied central role in education, socio-political movement, and economic factors and other social institutions in Maharashtra. It may be said that Marathi literature seems to be more relevant in case of caste reality. newline
