Reinforced Jute Hemp Glass Composite Materials and Its Mechanical Effects for Automobile Applications

Abstract

Natural materials like jute, flax and E-Glass demands usage in all the industrial application like aerospace and automobile technologies over the conventional materials used. They are very cheap and more effective and are further available in India in all the seasons. They have many advantages like less in weight and easy to carry. Instead of using the conventional synthetic material the advantage and uses of the fibers like natural materials have become main materials in different applications. Therefore, this kind of natural fibers is first reinforced in plastic state. These natural composites are also known as bio composites since they are degradable after the use and very good for the environmental safety. Further they do not lead to any kind of health issues while in manufacturing and when they are in usage. In this work of research, the utilization of the natural fibers like flax, hemp, E- Glass and the coconut char is used to get high strength in making the composite material. And these are further reinforced with kind of epoxy materials. The different experimental procedures have been carried out to get optimum results of these prepared composite materials. The different kind of tensile, compressive, impact and water absorption tests have been carried out to check these composite materials whether they can withstand the different load conditions. The results have been recorded and tabulated and analysed with the help of graphical representation.
