Abstract
For our prosperity and daily comfort, modern life style demands a steady, continuous and reliable supply of energy. Also wealth generation, economic and social developments depend on the key factor, THE ENERGY . This progress needs the accessibility of ample and moderately low-cost energy. Now a days, per capita consumption of energy is regarded as a benchmark success of any country and therefore energy has become one of the most important factors in the nationand#8223;s growth and economic development. The energy demand is therefore the main driving force in the expansion of manufacturing capabilities and industrial growth [1-6]. At present, world energy generation scenario relied heavily on fossil fuels, coal, oil and natural gases; the conventional energy resources and these fossil fuels are being depleting at a fast rate. According to estimates, the coal and oil are enough to last about two centuries with present rate of consumption. Coal-wood-gas power generation is now costlier, time consuming and hazardous. Nuclear power plants are also costlier and take a long for erection. Thus conventional fuels such as fossil fuels, hydro-power and nuclear energy are responsible for emission of greenhouse gases causing global warming and environmental pollution [2,3]. India has a negative energy balance for decades because of which the future of non-renewable energies is becoming uncert
