Taxonomic studies on corticolous micromycetes of important trees of Himachal Pradesh and their screening for lignocellulolytic enzymes

Abstract

The work included in this thesis is an outcome of exploration of tree inhabiting corticolous micromycetes of Himachal Pradesh. Consistent field trips were conducted to different localities of the study area to collect the samples of bark indicating symptoms of micromycetous fungi. A total of 640 bark samples were collected, which resulted in the identification of 85 hyphomycetous fungi after their taxonomic study, which belongs to a total of 61 genera. newline
