The research titled and#8213;History, Alterity and Normativity in the Fictional World of
newlineRohinton Mistryand#8214; analyses the interconnection of history, alterity and normativity in
newlinethe narratives of Rohinton Mistry.
newlineRohinton Mistry is a prolific contemporary writer. He occupies an important position
newlineas an Indian Parsi writer. He is one of those present-day writers who have written
newlinecritically about India, Indian political situations, history, minority conditions, ethnic
newlineidentities, culture, tradition and question of Parsi identity. Rohinton Mistry is highly
newlinesceptical and critical of the role of dominant communities that oppress and subjugated
newlinethe minorities for their selfish reasons.
