There has been a rapid surge in the inventions and innovations newlineof wireless systems, which has raised a challenge in the spectrum allotment. newlineDespite, the spectrum being a global natural resource, the spectrum allotment newlinewould be different for different countries, pertaining to their technological newlinegrowth. The electromagnetic spectrum is classified based on the frequency newlinerange and its relevant applications. The spectrum is divided into low, newlinemedium, high, ultra-high, and very high frequencies based on its newlineapplications. It shows that everything is fixed already and its usage paves newlineway for the development of new applications in the future. newlineSpectrum scarcity arises due to the drastic growth of wireless newlinetechnology, and it becomes a major problem in near future. In this context, newlinethe spectrum has to be utilized in an efficient way to make use of it in all newlineupcoming next-generation wireless networks. In India, efficient utilization of newlinespectrum has become a challenging task, and solutions are required to solve newlinethis scarcity problem. Addressing this problem would have a great societal newlineimpact in next decade. newlineThe spectrum users are categorized into licensed and unlicensed newlineusers. The users who have paid for spectrum are termed as licensed users or newlinePrimary Users (PUs) and unpaid users are termed as unlicensed users or newlineSecondary users (SUs). The aim of this proposed work is to track the usage newlineof the spectrum by Primary Users (PUs), and should the opportunity arise, it newlinehas to be sensed with the help of a wireless system for different applications.
