Impact of Internet on Senior Secondary Learning Students of Kolkata City

Abstract

The internet is a technology that has become an enormous part of peoples daily lives Over the last decades internet connectivity has improved tremendously and is available everywhere such as homes offices travels and schools Today empirical studies report that however studies on internet use among Senior High School Students in Kolkata city Hence this study investigates internet use and its impact on Senior High School students in Kolkata city Primary data were obtained from a random selection of Senior High School Students The data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA test In this study the result indicated that there are no significant differences in using the internet in senior secondary school students due to gender and Medium of instruction but researcher found a significant difference due to Major stream and Family income Use of the Internet can create new dimensions for closing the students learning gap and being more active within the canter of their own learning and more students could benefit from student centered learning newlineIt is therefore recommended that Heads of Senior High schools should liaise with policymakers and management of secondary Education school Services to provide internet infrastructure in schools This is relevant because the provision of internet infrastructure in schools is a key strategy for promoting academic performance newline newline
