Abstract

Islamic political thought in India developed in the course of history, evolving with the changing time and context. Like Abu al-A la Mawdudi, Shah Wali Allah also believed in the application of Islamic principles in the political realm. Their political thought shares similarities in several matters and the slight differences are to be understood against the differences in their milieu.
