Growth Analysis of Companies before and after Merger and Acquisition from various Sectors

dc.coverage.spatial	The impact of merger and acquisition on the financial aspects of the companies involved has been studied by the researcher. The thesis, "Growth Analysis of Companies Before and After Merger and Acquisition from Various Sectors," examines the effects of merger and acquisition from the perspective of the acquiring company over the course of eight years, spanning four years prior to and four years following the transactions. This study looked at 10 merger and acquisition deals from five different industries. The study's methodology is based on factors taken from financial statements that are used to measure growth by taking into account profitability, turn-over, asset and debt usage, capital structure, and shareholder's earnings. It has been hypothesised that there is no significant difference between merger and acquisition on the company based on chosen characteristics. As a statistical technique, the Paired T-Test has been used to analyse effects at a significance level of 0.05 on both individual and sectoral data. With a few exceptions, the null hypothesis has been accepted. The limitations of this study have application for fresh research. Even though this topic has been the subject of a great deal of research, it will continue to receive attention since, as a business expansion strategy, it is a widely regarded method of gaining an advantage over rivals.
