A novel robust and an efficient Intrusion detection system for Mobile adhoc networks

Abstract

Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is constructed usingautonomous self-disciplinary nodes that communicate and exchangeinformation through wireless medium. The nodes possess some intrinsicbehaviors such as mobility, self-routing and infrastructure independentfeatures. These features are feasible to aid on-demand communications, portability, ease of operation and interoperability. Therefore, the network isresource constraint by nature as the topology varies dynamically withoutinstant awareness of the node position. This has led to the design anddevelopment of various optimization methods, techniques and routingprotocols specific for MANETs. Energy efficiency, topology management, load balancing, scalability are some of the features that a conventional routing newlineprotocol lacks to focus and hence it requires the support of externaloptimization methods to achieve affordable outcome. newline newline
