Teaching of English as a Foreign Language in Secondary Schools of Jalalabad Afghanistan A study

Abstract

In the modern world, the role of English language learning and teaching has changed newlinemajorly in developing countries in schools, colleges, and other levels. In Afghanistan, newlineEnglish language learning has become a necessity for both purposes of study and newlineemployment. The secondary school students outcome in the English language is not newlineproductive, and they have difficulties. Still, a study has not been conducted to determine newlinethe root problem, whether the problem is with textbooks, learning environment, or newlinelearning and teaching methodology. This research aimed to study the EFL in secondary newlineschools of Jalalabad, Afghanistan. A descriptive method was employed to study the newlinetextbook, learning environment, and teaching-learning process of EFL.
