Abstract

Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells If the spread is not controlled it can result in death Cancer is caused by both external factors and internal factors Cancer is among the leading causes of death worldwide According to a survey conducted by World Health Organization through International Agency for Research on Cancer has caused million deaths in the year alone and in next twenty years this is expected to increase Cancer is treated with surgery radiation chemotherapy hormones and immunotherapy Chemotherapy is the most preferred choice But due to the rapid development of resistance to multiple chemotherapeutic drugs the high toxicity usually associated with drugs and their undesirable side effects the search for novel drug remains a priority goal in cancer therapy
