The complexity of an equipment and operating expenses in existing industrial systems are increasing very fast, there is less acceptable to Degradation of efficiency, reduced productivity, human safety, and environmental hazard caused by unwanted faults, which leads to implementing extensively real-time fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control techniques. Detect any sort of failure in process or component fault as soon as possible to avoid unwanted conditions like performance degradation, component damage, and dangerous situation. A fault tolerance system is an advanced scheme to give system stability and best performance even though system or parameter faults occur in the system using software and hardware redundancies. In recent and future, reliability and safety concerns of non-interacting and interacting level control processes have paid attention significantly due to their common applications in chemical processes, food processing plants, wastewater treatment, paper industry, pharmaceutical industry, petrochemical plant, refinery, cement plant, etc. Aiming to the improvement of reliability and safety of the non-interacting and interacting level control process, in the event of faults or failures, a fault-tolerant control (FTC) system is required to apply software redundancy effectively and efficiently to enhance the availability of non-interaction and interacting level control systems. newlineThe objective of this thesis is to design a passive FTC scheme that uses artificial intelligence to improve the safety, reliability, and availability of malfunctioning level control systems, both non-interacting and interacting. The purpose is to increase the fault-tolerant and transient effectiveness between the appearance of faults and the control action in particular. newline
