Abstract
Crop production depends on several factors mainly categorized into three groups biological technical and environmental. Indian agriculture is more vulnerable to environmental factors like rainfall and temperature. Wheat, soybean, mustard, peanut, and potato yields are anticipated to fall by 3-7 percent for every one-degree increase in temperature. Similarly, every one-degree increase in temperature can reduce 6% rice production. Uttar Pradesh noticed about 73.06 lakh hectares are flood-prone. The saline soils of Uttar Pradesh have a high electrical conductivity; they also have a high proportion of exchangeable sodium, generally in the range of 30 to 40%. Carbonates and bicarbonates with monovalent cations are the most common. Rice and wheat output are affected by changes in minimum and maximum temperatures, as well as changes in rainfall.
