Abstract
The post liberalisation period is considered as the golden era for inward FDI in country, as Government of India has introduced the series of policy reforms periodically to attract the largest share of Global FDI inflow in country. And hence the present research work has systematically covered the multiple interrelated aspects of FDI, which includes the analysis of series of reforms in the FDI policy environment in country to gauge the satisfaction level of the foreign investors about the FDI policy regime in country. Further in-spite of the common FDI policy in the nation some States and UT s have emerged as leader in FDI attractiveness and this study has attempted to identify the specific determinants causing to attractiveness of the inward FDI through the primary data collection. In spite of the above all dimensions of the research work the core focus of this study is on the identification of the pattern of inward FDI in the Manufacturing Industries of Maharashtra as the state is leader in FDI attractiveness and this study has put forth the analysis of trend and pattern of FDI to gauge the clear picture of the inward FDI in state and impact of the inward FDI on manufacturing industry of the state as well challenges faced by the investors while operating their business in State. The present research has fulfilled the below mentioned objectives and the hypotheses testing is also performed.
