Abstract
The clinical data analysis of Urdhvag Amlapitta reveals significant insights into its demographic and etiological patterns. The highest incidence was observed in patients aged 17-26 years (35%), linked to increased Pitta activity during this stage. Females (59%) predominated, likely due to hormonal influences on Pitta and Kapha doshas. In contrast, males were more affected by dietary habits, stress, and alcohol, aggravating Pitta and Vata doshas.
newlineWeight distribution indicated that individuals weighing 50-59 kg (Pitta-dominant) were notably affected, with stress and dietary choices exacerbating acid production. Conversely, Kapha-dominant individuals (70-80 kg) experienced symptoms due to slow digestion and increased abdominal pressure. Most patients were of Pitta-Vata Prakriti (40%), highlighting the need for personalized treatment focusing on stress management and dietary discipline.
newlineDietary factors such as Viruddhashan (incompatible foods) and Adhyashan (overeating) significantly contributed to symptom severity, particularly in Pitta-Kapha individuals. Additionally, heavy and cold foods, along with excessive fluid intake during meals, aggravated symptoms. Psychological factors like stress, anger, and grief were prevalent and further complicated the condition.
newlineOverall, the study underscores the importance of addressing both immediate dietary and lifestyle factors, as well as underlying health issues, to develop effective treatment plans for Urdhvag Amlapitta.
