Abstract
This study is concerned with thermodynamic modelling simulation
newlinevalidation and optimisation of the various processes of a four stroke spark ignition engine Validating the code with the experimental results and development of a neural network with appropriate algorithms to optimise the power and torque of the engine under consideration has been carried out For simulation a computer code using MATLAB has been developed employing Graphical User interface GUI The code is named as GANESH which stands for Graphical And Numerical Engine Software Hub Simulation of spark ignition engine operating cycle are being done
newlinenowadays using computers to surmount the limitations of the fuel air cycle and to facilitate a rapid determination of the effect of engine operating and design variables on engine performance The treatment of combustion in many such calculations has often been over simplified particularly regarding mass burnt fraction The work reported herein is an attempt towards a realistic representation of step by step approachtowards the various processes in a SI engine and also incorporation of ten different combustion models in the code
