Abstract
Infertility is a significant issue in public health, impacting a vast number of
newlineindividuals worldwide. Over the past three decades, assisted reproductive technology has been
newlineessential in enabling the birth of over five million children worldwide. However, it is important
newlineto be aware that prolonged exposure to such treatment may potentially elevate the risk of cancer
newlinein women. There are multiple factors that play a role in the development of cancer, including
newlinegenetic predisposition, exposure to carcinogens, and personal lifestyle choices.
newlineOvarian cancer is a commonly diagnosed type of cancer worldwide, and in India,
newlineit is particularly prevalent among women. Hormonal imbalances often leading to issues like
newlineanovulation or irregular menstrual cycles. Conditions like PCOS and endometriosis are
newlinecharacterized by hormonal imbalances and have been shown to raise the risk of certain cancers,
newlineparticularly ovarian and endometrial cancer. There is a lack of comprehensive data on the
newlinecorrelation between infertility treatments and ovarian cancer, as well as the accessibility of
newlinetreatment options and the behaviour of women seeking infertility treatment. This study
newlineattempted to assess the relationship between ovarian cancer and various types of infertility
newlinetreatment
