Adjustment Emotional Intelligence and Parenting Style of Adolescence

Abstract

The main purpose of the present research is to study and compare various areas of newlineadjustment, various dimensions of emotional intelligence and different parenting style of newlineparents of adolescence in relations to gender, areas of residence and type of family of newlineadolescence. Total 800 participants were randomly selected variable wise from the urban and newlinerural areas of Ahmedabad district. For data collection, Adjustment Inventory for School newlineStudents by A.K.Sinha and R.P.Singh, Emotional Intelligence scale by A. K. Singh and Shruti newlineNarain, Parenting Style Scale by Madhu Gupta and Dimple Methani were used. To analyzed newlinethe data three way analysis of variance was used. Results indicates that Significant difference newlineis found between male and female adolescence with regard to emotional adjustment. Female newlineadolescence have better emotional adjustment than male adolescence. Significant difference newlineis found between urban and rural adolescence with regard to emotional adjustment. Rural newlineadolescence have better emotional adjustment than urban adolescence. Significant difference newlineis found between adolescence of joint and nuclear family with regard to emotional newlineadjustment. Adolescence of joint family have better emotion adjustment than nuclear family. newlineSignificant difference is found between male and female adolescence with regard to social newlineadjustment. Female adolescence have better Social Adjustment than male adolescence. newlineSignificant difference is found between urban and rural adolescence with regard to social newlineadjustment. Urban adolescence have better Social Adjustment than rural adolescence. newlineSignificant difference is found between adolescence of joint and nuclear family with regard to newlinesocial adjustment. Adolescence of joint family have better social adjustment than adolescence newlineof nuclear family. Significant difference is found between male and female adolescence with newlineregard to educational adjustment. Male adolescence have better Educational Adjustment than newlinefemale adolescence.
