dc.description.abstractThe couette flow in fluid dynamics refers to The laminar flow of a viscous fluid in the space between the two parallel plates, one of which moves relative to the other . The couette flow of Newtonian /non-Newtonian fluids has developed considerably because of its application in practical and industrial applications like power engineering, food preservation technique, petroleum production etc. The couette flow of viscoelastic fluids has variety of applications in the field such as aeroplanes, space craft, tyre and making, plastic engineering equipment and so on. Flow of viscoelasticc fluid through parallell plates and its heat and mass transfer behaviours are helpful in studying the boundaryy layer problems. The heat transfer behavior of fluids play an importantt role in the design of advanced energy convection systems. The theories of radiation heat transfer power plants, gass turbines and in space vehicles. Due to the electromagnetic field, the magnetohydrodynamic flow has a variety of practical applicationss in astrophysical and geophysical situations, in cooling of continuous strips and filaments, metallurgy industry. The concept of Joule heating helps in cost cutting compared to supplementary heating methods like radio frequency and microwave heating, some of the industrial applications include evaporation, pasteurization and dehydration of food products. newline
