Abstract
Energy is one of the indisputable components that decides the destiny of the modern economies. The need for fuel across the globe reminds stable. Because road transportation serves a major role when compared to other major kinds of transportation. In the transportation sector, Compression Ignition Diesel (CI) Engines are the most reliable engines due to their assistance in both industry and agriculture. Better performance, fuel and heat efficiency and engine longevity are all attributes to the popularity of CI engines. However, the engines are blamed for significantly contributing Green House Gases into the atmosphere which exacerbates environmental hazards like acid rain, ozone depletion, and the greenhouse effect. The use of alternative biofuel and their blends infused with natural antioxidant in diesel engines is the focus of this experimental investigation. For this research work, an extensive investigation was done analyzing the emission, parameter related to combustion and performance in a direct injection single cylinder diesel engine powered by transesterified palm seed oil biodiesel blends with antioxidants. The extensive experimental study was executed by means of three stage works namely Stage work I, Stage work II and Stage work III as follows:
