Herbal Drug Loaded Nanogel for the Effective Treatment of Skin Disorders Design Optimization and Characterization

Abstract

Since, ancient time plants have been used for medicinal purpose for their various therapeutic potentials and safest to modern allopathic medicines. Regularly phytochemicals are proving themselves as modern medicine with novel drug delivery systems by treating different diseases and disorder. Phytochemical compound need improvement of its efficacy and patient s compatibility to deliver in various diseases conditions e.g. high blood pressure, microbial, coronary heart disease, cancers, diabetes, inflammation, etc. also require a rational approach. Nanotechnology is promising drug delivery approach for phytoconstituent delivery either targeted or site specific. Especially, Nanogels are most rational approach for targeting skin diseases and enhancing the bioavailability. Phytoconstituents or plant extract loaded nanogels have been reported in-vitro and in-vivo activities for different skin disorders like aging, acne skin infection etc. Nanogels as novel drug delivery system may reduce the toxicity and improve the bioavailability of the incorporated drug. Present review is focused on various phytomedicines that have been used in treating skin ageing and acne, nanogel formulations prepared and effectiveness of both phytochemicals and nanotechnology for skin disorders treatment. newline
