Abstract
Education is the basis of the development of any country, especially those in the developing world. The key processes affect the future of the world, particularly universal elementary education of our children. The task of education is to bring changes in child behavior and personality in a more desirable form. Development of child s body and mind demand proper nurturing of its intellectual and physical qualities as few of the major determinants of his personality. Good and popular plays are produced and the performance is of fairly good standard. Therefore, modern theories of education emphasize on over all development of the child. The programme of co-curricular activities encompass the entire school system and it includes manifold activities. It is generally seen that out schools often lack of teachers with varied aptitudes to lead the students and create in them the necessary interest. In connection with the work done by the departments in the school, various extra-curricular activities are organized. Dramatic performances are also popular forms of extra-curricular activity which allows a good deal of opportunity in at many stages of the production of play under the general supervision of their teachers. Many schools have facilities and equipment for production of plays and the teachers of the study dramatics as a subject in colleges of education. One aspect of co-curricular activities which is lost sight of in India is the variety of needs. We have mentioned social service work and the safety precaution measures.
