dc.description.abstractEDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT:Educational Management is a comprehensive effort intended to achieve some specific educational objectives. It deals with the educational practices, whereas educational philosophy sets the goals, educational administration, tells the do how of educational objectives and principles. Educational Management is the dynamic side of education. It deals with educational institutions. It is concerned with both human and material resources. newlineAll these have a bearing on the educational process. It is the process that aims at maintaining the institutions of education and making them function efficiently and effectively.NEED FOR THE STUDY:The Headmaster is known as the key person of the school administration. He is the chief inter-linking source between the school and the community. In the modern democratic set up only a democratic administrator can succeed. He should be well conversant with the various aspects of school life. He is able to adjust himself in any type of circumstances and situations prevailing in the school. Whether schools are effective or ineffective depend mainly on the style of Educational Management of the Headmaster. The leadership behaviour of the Headmaster is correlated with other variables of Educational Management. Hence, there is a need to assess the Educational Management of Elementary and Middle School headmasters. This study mainly intends to assess the current status in Educational Management of Elementary and Middle schools Headmasters. newlineAccording to Mohi-ud-din-?School cannot succeed if the teachers in it work only as individuals are not as a group. But just as every group needs a leader, so also a school must have a leader who would stimulate and direct its work?such a leader is the Headmaster. Hence, there is a need to assess the Educational Management of Elementary and Middle School headmasters. This study mainly intends to know the current status in Educational Management of primary and Middle school headmasters of various primary and Middle schools.en_US
