Abstract
In today s era, where the green communication is considered to be the prime element of the fifth generation, the increased number of wireless networks has led to the rise of high power consumption. The green wireless communication aimed towards constructing low powerconsuming and highly energy-efficient systems. Moreover, according to 3GPP specifications, the 5G radio interface must provide services for high-pace vehicles/trains moving at a maximum speed of 500kmph. Also, to accomplish the traveler s demand for consistent and good Q.O.S. (quality-of-service) data services in such an environment is a huge challenge.Moving in this direction, FEC (Forward Error Correction) Codes have gained remarkable attention and is considered to be an integral part of green or 5G wireless communication. Channel Coding is a path laid in the wireless communication systems to achieve Shannon capacity. Several Channel coding schemes exist in the literature that promise to attain the maximum capacity limit.
