newlineABSTRACT
newlineSoftware release planning is one of the complicated areas of software engineering.
newlinePlanning a software release includes assigning requirements to sequence of releases in
newlinethe most beneficial way within the limited effort, budget, and time available. The
newlinecomplexity of the software release planning is due to the incompleteness and the
newlineuncertainty challenges that characterize the software release planning problem. In order
newlineto handle efficiently the incompleteness and uncertainty challenges, the computer
newlineintelligent fuzzy logic approach can be utilized. Although several methods have been
newlineproposed to handle the incompleteness and uncertainty challenges, they are all based
newlineon optimization methods. The present thesis is devoted to the mathematical analysis
newlineand performance prediction of software systems in different frameworks for
newlinequantifying reliability growth. The models developed in the present thesis exhibit the
newlinerelease options that can be chosen at any time during the software testing phase, in order
newlineto avoid wasting effort in the development process. To ensure ongoing software quality,
newlinethe new release options of the software are suggested in different scenario. These
newlinerelease policies suggest improved and error-free versions and the process of providing
newlinenew versions throughout the software life-cycle. Our study will provide an insight to
newlinethe software developers and testers to agree with high quality software.
