dc.description.abstractHybrid microgrids (HMG), which combine AC and DC power networks, are a cornerstone of modern energy systems because they integrate renewable energy sources (RES) and ensure reliable and flexible power supply. However, detecting islanding, a condition where part of the grid continues to operate autonomously after being disconnected from the utility grid (UG), remains a significant challenge. Islanding poses serious risks, including equipment damage, safety hazards for utility workers, and disruption of power quality (PQ). Hence, an effective islanding detection mechanism is crucial for maintaining the stability and safety of HMG operations. newline
