Evaluation of Biocompatibility and Therapeutic Applications of Gold Nanoparticles Phyto Fabricated through Clerodin Enriched Clerodendrum Infortunatum Linn Leaf Extract

Abstract

Synthesis of nano-sized materials (NMs) such as nanoparticles (NPs) with varying structure and morphology is gaining importance in the field of biotherapeutics. The variation in nanomaterial structure is achieved by manipulation of heterogenous size tunable synthesis methods. one of the key features of synthesizing such nanomaterial is to unlock potential new functions, which may result due to large surface / volume ratios. Based on their unique properties, Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) have attracted universal interest for their potential applications in optics, electronics, magnetics, catalysis and biomedicine. These properties depend upon the morphology of the GNP which in turn requires precise control and optimization over their synthetic methods. Interestingly, Gold (Au) behaves very differently at the nanoscale and exhibits valuable properties like non-toxicity, which is crucial for emerging new therapeutic technologies involving drug delivery systems newline
